ALR2138 Bulkhead Assembly RHD Early Defender. This is the Right Hand Drive Dash Panel, commonly referred to as the Bulkhead. ALR2138 is the variant for vehicles not fitted with Air conditioning. Unusually, ours come complete with the vent panels and anti-fly mesh already fitted.  It is based on the 1983 to 1992 model which in general terms is the model fitted with the LT77 gearbox.

The later Land Rover Part number is ALR9946, subsequently superceded by Land Rover to take the R380 Gearbox .  This is a generic bulkhead which covers a number of models.  It  means there will be few very minor differences if fitting to very early 90/110/Defenders, which amount to a few minor adjustments, holes requiring clip fitting holes, other fitment holes, or some requiring grommets fitting – to blank them.

Paintman has fitted one of these to their test vehicle to ensure quality of fit.

We currently have a 6 week order to despatch lead time on this product.  Because of it’s size it may be better for collection than delivery as the pallet rate is quite expensive.
